The Calhoun County Chamber of Commerce knows it is what you know and who you know, so we want to give students the chance to get both, while meeting area leaders, engaging with our regional businesses and prospering in their future careers.
We want to link students with area business leaders and help them create connections that will aid them in clinching this semester's internship or tomorrow’s dream job.
Your Chamber of Commerce, an area organization representing more than 1,200 member businesses and individuals, sees the talents and resources of Jacksonville State University and Gadsden State. Many of our area businesses and organizations are searching for talent, whether it is for internships or entry level positions. Area businesses are searching for people like you.
For more information, call Emily Duncan, the Chamber’s Public Relations Coordinator at 256-237-3536.
Internships provide students with crucial real work experience, which is often required to fulfill numerous degrees before a student can launch a full-time career. Internships also provide employers with highly qualified and motivated students, who meet the needs of their company.
The Chamber has partnered with Internships.com to provide employers and students with a place to connect. Employers can post internships, access a student resume database, and receive expert insight—for free. Students and recent graduates can search the company database for internship opportunities at no charge.
